Bare Essentials Handbags - leather pattern

A leathercraft handbag pattern for you to make at home! The Bare Essentials Handbag carries just those items you MUST have with you at all times. Phone, credit cards, ID, cash........maybe a bit of room for a lipstick or breath spray (you know.....for when you meet that special someone! ;-)), but not much more! You can dress it up, or dress it down, carry it to a wedding or a dance party, out on a date.....just anywhere you want!

Two different styles, and two different ways to make it. You can glizt it up with shiny or sparkly rivets, or tone it down with matching stitching. You can use a snap, a jeans button or a button stud for a closure. Turn a concho into a snap and use that for your closure! Try it with braided cord instead of chain. Use a plain leather for the back and a metallic leather print for the front and......WOW! So many possibilities and so many different combinations!

The circle bag measures in at 9" across and is 9" when open, 6 1/2" when closed. The triangle bag also measures 9" across, and 9" when open, but it measures only 5" when closed. Both have 2 pockets inside, with the front pocket having a fancy scalloped edge.

AND so easy to make! A plain and simple stitched one (stitched by hand) with just a standard snap should take right around an hour to make. Give or take a few minutes!
