Bare Essentials IV - flat handbag leather pattern

The Bare Essentials IV is a small flat handbag that carries just the things that you ABSOLUTELY must have with you at all times. The usual, like your phone, a credit card, an ID, maybe a bit of cash........and there might be a bit of room left for a lipstick or breath spray (you know.....for when you meet that special someone! ;-)), but not much more! You can dress it up, or dress it down, carry it to church, to a party, or out on a date.....just about anywhere you want!

One shape with two different ways to put it together. You can add some bling with shiny or sparkly rivets, or tone it down with matching stitching. You can use a snap, a jeans button, or a button stud as a closure. Try it with a leather strap instead of a chain, or use a leather & chain combination. Use plain leather for the back and suede for the front and......O.M.G.! There are so many different possibilities and so many different combinations!

This rounded corner octagon-shaped handbag measures 8.5" X 8.5" when open, and 8.5" X 6" when closed. It has 2 pockets inside, and we added a bit of extra oomph! to the front pocket! It has a very fancy scalloped edge!

AND it is ever so easy to make! A plain and simple stitched one (stitched by hand) with just a pair of standard snaps should take right around an hour to make. Give or take a few minutes!
